6 Simple Lifestyle Changes That Reward with Good Health

The Common Indian is gradually becoming more aware of the lifestyle they live and the changes they need to make. But we still end up making some grave mistakes – sometimes because we are too lazy to change them or sometimes because of our routine demands that kind of lifestyle. Sharing with my readers, 6 Simple Lifestyle Changes That Reward with Good Health. These little changes tremendously helped me improve the health of me and my family and I’d highly recommend these simple changes to you, for better mind and body health.

  1. Include Fats in your diet

Almost everyone I know tends to struggle with their weights, irrespective of their age and gender. Some want to lose it, some want to gain it, but the craze for hitting the mean average of weight is actual pressure. Following various diets is not just a fad anymore, but we tend to take it very seriously. One of the mistakes we commit is to omit fats from our system.

By asking to include fats, I do not mean to have a pack of fries every day – but having the right kind of fats can actually enhance your metabolism, promote weight loss and help your brain function better. Fats from seeds and nuts are the best option. Of course, they do not have oodles of fat, but the fatty acids they contain are sufficient to build your health.

2. Get Sufficient hours of sleep every night

We can never stress enough, how much sufficient sleep can make a difference in your life. Appropriate sleep tends to keep your mind, emotions, and body in good health. It keeps your hormones regulated and hence many processes of your body like thinking, reflexes, digestion, and many more in check. This also eventually aids in weight loss and weight regulation.

Appropriate hours of sleep is different for everyone. Some people may need a minimum of 9 hours of sleep, while some may need 7, but sleeping in between 7 to 9 hours every day is an ideal situation.

3. Drink water like it’s going out of style

Yes, drink water as if it may soon slip out of styles. So you drink as much as you can. Work on giving yourself a water target. For example, keep 2 bottles handy and promise yourself to finish them by 12 noon. Keep a bottle of water wherever you are working, so water is always within your reach. Target at least 4-5 liters of water in a day.

4. Don’t Underestimate the power of a simple walk

Walking is the simplest and easiest form of exercise. Exercise releases hormones that reduce the stress level in the mind and body. Even if you are not exercising by walking, a simple, distraction-free walk with yourself can help you think clearly. That lone time with yourself can actually be very therapeutic. Just 15 minutes a day is all you need to dedicate, but the more, the merrier.

5. Put down the phone

Like Really, put the phone down for a few hours. But that does not mean that you spend that time hung up on other gadgets. Just free yourself from the clutches of gadgets for at least 30 minutes, twice a day. Again, the more, the merrier. Do not take calls, or just “look at the phone once” in that duration.

6. Make time to make love

Make love – with your spouse or partner. If not the entire thing, just some cuddling, holding or lying next to each other can have therapeutic effects on your mind and body. We underestimate the goodness of great personal, physical, intimate connection between partners.

Engaging in intimacy may be overwhelming on an everyday basis, but again, work on it as a target. Cuddling at least once or twice a day, and having sex at least once a week can bring about a 360-degree change in your life!
